La Nab is the founder of Brimbalante, a Rural Clown Academy based in the Eastern Townships - 1h from Montreal. She is not only a cultural entrepreneur, but a complete artist : from poetry to physical theater to cinema. Her biggest passions are stage directing and teaching theatrical clown. She has created plays for young audiences and the general public.
In her role as Artistic Director of La Brimbalante, she believes that performing arts are a way to dive deep into life without limits. A surfeit of existence. Her university studies (BAC in cinema, MA in literature) led her to question the place of the body in society, almost annihilated. She has created a number of clown-style plays, including Où es-tu, matière? (2019) and Entrez Docteur! (2020), or more recently, Apprendre à parler avec un poème in duo with Coralie Lali Lala, and the neurodivergent show Joie hybride (2023), supported by Conseil des Arts du Québec. She performed in the street, on official stages and punk ones. She also has a background in dance, scriptwriting and music, marked by 10 years of classical piano. La Nab has produced art videos, worked as an editor for the literary publishing cooperative En Jachère, and published articles, collective works and a collection of poems (Ouvrez, Nœuds Éditions).
