CaméRAR
A large-scale project led by the Regroupement des arts de rue since May 2021, the CaméRAR is a professional video recording initiative offered to the organization's members. To do so, the RAR hired a professional videographer whose mission was to film and edit short teaser videos or full-length versions of our members' performances.
The CaméRAR initiative also aims to create a documentary on street arts in Quebec, a first on the provincial scene. This short documentary addresses the realities of street arts as seen by the artists and presents the behind-the-scenes issues. The diversity of forms and genres under the banner of street arts is faithfully represented thanks to the variety of artistic practices of our members and the versatility of the video maker. This project allows RAR and its members to document, collect and safeguard Quebec's street arts heritage, in addition to supporting RAR's advocacy efforts through the creation of a documentary.
The CaméRAR 2021 project has aroused great interest among our members who have responded in number of 25 and are eagerly awaiting the second edition of this service for the 2022 summer season.
